South Korea's industrial output was slightly down in September... due mainly to a fall in output in the service sector.<br />According to Statistics Korea,... overall industrial output fell zero-point-4 percent from the month before.<br />The mining and manufacturing sectors picked up slightly,... but production in wholesale and retail decreased.<br />Private consumption was also down two percent on-month,... because of a drop in sales of food and clothing.<br />The agency said the drop is due to temporary factors, such as the impact of several typhoons last month.<br />
